Penick Park is a 14-acre park that has all kinds of things for locals to do: a fishing pond, walking trails & a beautiful 9-hole disc-golf course. Visitors can enjoy a little picnic at the pond or enjoy watching the annual trout release put on by the Texas Parks & Wildlife crew. Not into disc golf? That’s ok, bring a frisbee and toss it in the open field areas of the park.

Spring Hill Park is a 30-acre public park that includes a play area, baseball fields, pavilions, and another splash pad for family fun. The park was built in 2006 and in 2011, the Neal McCoy Playground went in as the park’s only universally accessible playground. It’s become a favorite for the locals where they can bring the kids to play or catch a little baseball or just enjoy the outdoors!
4) McHorter Park

The park also has some trails for hiking or biking and more grill areas so you can spend a weekend day with the family in a beautiful setting, enjoying nature.
6) Panther Park and Community Center

KidsView Playground is actually inside Lear Park as part of the entire complex. In addition to its awesome playground, you’ll also find 5 grills or fire pits, a picnic area, 5 pavilions, and plenty of drinking foundations for your convenience. This playground is unique because it’s one of the only in Longview that’s designed for children with special needs. It has a rubber surface to soften any falls and all of the equipment is easy to use for those with limited mobility.
9) Garland P. Ferguson Park
